Description:
Tour Includes: English/Romanian guided service, transportation by personal air-conditioned car for up to 3 persons/hired minivan for larger groups, all parking fees and fuel. There are several stops for rest rooms during the tour.
Not Included: the tickets to the Snagov Monastery (3 EUR/person), Slanic Salt Mine (8 EUR), all food & drink.
Pick-up, Drop-off at your hotel at 08:00 AM or other pre-agreed location within city limits.
Description/Itinerary: 6 hours, from Bucharest we will go north to Snagov lake and visit Snagov Monastery, which holds the official burial place of “Vlad the Impaler” Dracula. The monastery itself, was built in the 14th century, 50 years before his reign and was his favorite hiding place.
After this, we continue our trip north and visit Slanic Salt mine, where we descend some 300 meters underground and visit the 8 different chambers. This truly amazing place has some of the purest air in Romania. Be sure to bring a jacket with you.
Afternoon, around 2 PM we will be back in Bucharest, drop you off at your hotel.
This tour is the ideal, half day trip outside Bucharest, perfect for a rainy day or something out of the ordinary.
